Chris Sutton has given his verdict on who will win between Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur tonight.
The two sides meet at St James’ Park for the second time this season, with Eddie Howe already holding a victory over Thomas Frank’s side. That came in the Carabao Cup back in October.
Newcastle United beat Spurs 2-0 that night thanks to goals from Fabian Schar and Nick Woltemade, and Eddie Howe would love to see a repeat of that result as he aims to secure a third consecutive Premier League win.
That should not be a problem according to Chris Sutton, who has big concerns regarding Spurs ahead of Tuesday’s game on Tyneside.
First goalscorer tonight, who are we going for?
I fancy this guy to score again!
Chris Sutton backs Newcastle United to win against Spurs
As part of his Premier League predictions for BBC Sport, Sutton has given his verdict on the result of Newcastle United vs Spurs.
He has gone for a Toon victory, with Sutton admitting he thinks Thomas Frank is ‘under pressure’ at Tottenham Hotspur.
“Tottenham boss Thomas Frank needs a result,” he wrote.

“He was so relaxed when he was at Brentford but now he just looks like a guy under pressure.
“Frank saying the supporters who booed Guglielmo Vicario after his mistake against Fulham “can’t be true Tottenham fans” underlines the friction he is feeling at the moment, but he does have a point about the effect that has.
“As a player who has been booed a lot over the years, I can tell you that it doesn’t have a positive impact on your performance. Being serious, though, I just don’t get it – it just creates negativity.
“The Spurs players will probably be relieved to be playing away after that, but Newcastle have found a bit of form in the past week so this is not an easy trip at all.
“Tottenham have already lost at St James’ Park this season in the Carabao Cup, and I am going for a repeat result, by the same scoreline.”
Sutton’s prediction: Newcastle United 2 Tottenham Hotspur 0.

Newcastle United must start fast against struggling Spurs
Fulham blew Spurs away on Saturday night. They were 2-0 up within six minutes, giving Frank’s side a mountain to climb.
While they were able to claw one goal back, it was not enough to salvage a point as boos rang round the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It will be a different surrounding on Tuesday night, but the Magpies can still catch Spurs cold with a fast start. Newcastle have got all the momentum, while Spurs are a team that is massively lacking confidence.
Combine that with Newcastle’s record against Spurs at home and it is easy to see why Howe’s side are favourites. The Newcastle United manager has won all four of his home games against Spurs since replacing Steve Bruce, and will be eager to make it five.
That can happen if his side get off to a hot start and capitalise on Spurs’ miserable form.
