The right back went down after 25 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and he was immediately replaced by James Hill.

After the game, Andoni Iraola confirmed that the 34-year-old had picked up a hamstring injury.

The boss told the Daily Echo: “The worst news of today's game.

“I think Adam knows his body very well. Straight away he went to the floor and he told us it was a hamstring injury.

“So we have to assess him, see if it's a grade one, grade two, whatever. But he will be out, he will be out for some weeks.

“It's true that we have this international break and probably it’s not the worst moment. But yes, it's a muscle injury, hamstring injury and he will be out.”
