Liverpool have to pick themselves up after their Champions League setback when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield on Sunday (16.30 GMT).

The Reds’ 1-0 loss to Galatasaray in the last 16 first leg leaves their European hopes in the balance. Liverpool will feel they can turn things around in the return clash at Anfield next week but the focus is now on Spurs.

Arne Slot’s side have nine Premier League matches remaining and are in a battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Liverpool sit sixth in the table and have little margin for error amid a fight with Chelsea, Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Ahead of the visit of struggling Tottenham, Slot will hope that he can get some players back to fitness. Here’s a look at the current Liverpool injury list and if any member of the squad could return.

Federico Chiesa - illness

The forward did not train ahead of Galatasaray. Liverpool will hope that Chiesa's sickness is only short term and he can make a swift return.

Potential return: Tottenham (H), Sunday 15 March.

Alisson Becker - unspecified

The No.1 goalkeeper was in training before Liverpool travelled to Istanbul but suffered an issue late in the session. Slot was not overly concerned by Alisson's problem and he could be back for Spurs, although the performance of Giorgi Mamardashvili against Galatasaray was very good.

Potential return: Tottenham (H), Sunday 15 March.

Alexander Isak - broken leg

The recent form of Hugo Ekitike has dipped and that is probably because of the number of matches he's had to play. Isak has been unavailable for the best part of three months since he suffered his injury when scoring in the 2-1 win at Spurs last December. Isak is back running on the grass but Liverpool will remain cautious.

Potential return: April

Wataru Endo - ankle

The cult hero sustained his issue making an important clearance in a 1-0 win at Sunderland last month. The midfielder has reportedly had surgery and his main aim will be to make a return for the World Cup with Japan in the summer. Slot has previously stated he hopes that Endo can be back for Liverpool before the end of the campaign.

Potential return: May

Conor Bradley - knee

The right-back continues his recovery from a serious knee injury. He might have outside ambitions of going to the World Cup with Northern Ireland if they do qualify.

Potential return: Pre-season

Giovanni Leoni - knee

The centre-back is still rehabbing a ruptured ACL sustained on his Liverpool debut last September.

Potential return: Pre-season

Jayden Danns - hamstring

The well-regarded centre-forward has not made an appearance at any level since October. He would have been involved in Slot's squad heavily during Isak's absence. Danns will need minutes for the under-21s before he is deemed ready for first-team action. However, given his injury record, the Reds are likely to be careful.

Potential return: N/A

Stefan Bajcetic - hamstring

It is 10 months since the midfielder sustained his injury during a loan spell at Las Palmas. Bajcetic has had setbacks in his recovery and not made a single outing this term.
