On Friday, we will find out our opponents for the UEFA Champions League round of 16. Here is what you need to know about the draw.

When is it?

The draw for the round of 16 matches will be on Friday morning (27 February), beginning at 11am (UK), and will be hosted at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

What rounds are drawn?

This draw will not just decide the fixtures for the round of 16, but will also map out each team's route for the rest of the competition.

Each team in the draw will see their potential route plotted all the way to the final meaning we will know on Friday which sides we could face in the quarter-final, semi-final and final.

How will the draw work?

Seeded clubs in the draw - which includes us as we finished in the top eight of the League Phase - will be paired (positions 1st and 2nd, positions 3rd and 4th (us), positions 5th and 6th and positions 7th and 8th).

Each team from each pair will then be drawn into one of the two pre-determined positions available on the bracket - one on the silver side, one on the blue side.

We are paired with Liverpool - who finished 3rd in the League Phase - and can be drawn to face either Galatasaray (silver) or Atletico Madrid (blue).

Two balls - one containing 'Tottenham Hotspur' and the other containing 'Liverpool' - will be placed in a bowl before each is drawn.

The first team drawn will be placed on the silver side and will face Galatasaray with the second team drawn placed on the blue side and will face Atletico Madrid.

When will the round of 16 ties be played?

The round of 16 ties will be played in March.

The first leg of the ties will be played on either 10 or 11 March. We will play the first leg away from home.

The second leg of the ties will be played on either 17 or 18 March. We will play the second leg at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

We should know the exact date of our fixtures on the night of the draw.

Ticketing news will be communicated in due course.
