Tottenham Hotspur have had some incredible players during the Premier League era.

However, perhaps the most talented player to turn out for Spurs in the Premier League era is Gareth Bale.
The Welsh wizard won two PFA Player of the Year awards during his time at Tottenham, while he would go on to win five Champions League titles at Real Madrid.
Speaking to The Sun, Ally McCoist has been ranking and comparing some of the best wingers in football history, and he made an interesting claim about Bale.

McCoist was tasked with choosing between some of the game’s best wingers.
McCoist chose Mohamed Salah over the likes of Heung-Min Son and Vinicius Jr, but, in the end, the Egyptian was usurped by Neymar.
Neymar won his battles against the likes of Eden Hazard and Ryan Giggs, but when McCoist was asked to pick between Neymar and Gareth Bale, he opted for Bale.
Bale was a truly magical player at his best, and McCoist reckons he was even better than Neymar at his best.

Bale and Neymar are undoubtedly two of the best attacking players of this generation, and it’s interesting to compare the two.
Neymar does have a better record than Bale in terms of goalscoring, but when it comes to winning big trophies and turning up in big moments, there aren’t many better than Bale.
Yes, Neymar has more league titles than Bale, but many of those were over in Ligue 1 when PSG were ruling the roost with very little competition.
In Europe, Bale is the top dog, and that is perhaps what defines his legacy more than anything else.
Regardless of who you prefer, it has to be said that Bale and Neymar are two of the best to ever do it.
