Ally McCoist and Darren Fletcher are back with their Premier League predictions for Matchday 27. Manchester City could close the gap to leaders Arsenal to just two points if they beat Newcastle United on Saturday evening, live on TNT Sports and discovery+. The Gunners take on north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Aston Villa face Leeds United, while Manchester United travel to Everton.

Which way will the Premier League title race twist in Gameweek 27?

Arsenal lead by four points but face a north London derby clash on Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur, who have appointed Igor Tudor as head coach until the end of the season after sacking Thomas Frank.

Manchester City could close the gap to just two points when they face Newcastle United on Saturday evening, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

Third-placed Aston Villa will also be looking to stay in the hunt with victory over Leeds United, while Chelsea host Burnley, and Manchester United travel to Everton.

Vitor Pereira takes charge of Nottingham Forest in the league for the first time against Liverpool, and West Ham United will hope to continue their positive recent form against Bournemouth.

Selected matches:

Manchester City v Newcastle United (TNT Sports)

Ally: "Newcastle are actually coming off some good away performances. A brilliant result at Qarabag [but] travelling might affect them. A great result at Villa in the Cup and I also thought they played exceptionally well for 45 minutes at Liverpool. But I just think City, with too much at stake."

Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Newcastle United

Fletch: "Manchester City have got a real opportunity here to win the Premier League with Arsenal wobbling a little bit. Newcastle have had to go 5,000 miles in the Champions League, which can't be underestimated. City are at home and I like them to win."

Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Newcastle United

Spurs v Arsenal

Ally: "Arsenal are coming off, what everyone is looking at as a disaster, dropping two points against Wolves. I'm not sure it's a disaster, but it could be a disaster if they don't beat their north London rivals, and for that reason I think they will."

Prediction: Spurs 1-3 Arsenal

Fletch: "Tottenham are under pressure and Igor Tudor is now in there as the manager. We've seen the new-manager bounce that Forest got and I think we might get something similar with Spurs. As bad of a season as Tottenham are having, if they can be one of the reasons Arsenal don't win the league, that starts to alter things. I think they will find a result and there will be goals."

Prediction: Spurs 2-2 Arsenal
