Ange Postecoglou fell into a familiar trap after Tottenham's defeat at Fulham on Sunday and one of his senior midfielders looks to be playing himself towards the exit door.
Spurs slipped to a 2-0 defeat in the Premier League at Craven Cottage after conceding two late goals on Sunday from Rodrigo Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon. After the encounter Postecoglou clashed with a supporter in one of the home stands on the walk back to the dressing room.
The Australian was being mocked by someone filming him on their phone and shouting from that section: "Ange, what the (insert swear word) was that, you (insert abusive word)? What was that? What was that?". The 59-year-old stopped and glared at the person who was filming and shouting before responding: "Just behave yourself."
As two of his players - Djed Spence and Mathys Tel -tried to lead him away to the dressing room, Postecoglou said to the person: "You're a young man, just learn some manners." Tel then turned to the person himself and said: "Hey, hey, hey, hey, respect, respect man."
It is not the first time that Postecoglou has bitten back at abuse from a football fan and our Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discussed the incident as well as plenty more, including the alarming decline of Yves Bissouma, in the latest episode of their podcast Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham.
