Mariners march on - Carabao Cup results
Elsewhere, in the EFL Cup, Grimsby Town's season just keeps on getting better and better, while Sheffield Wednesday's goes from bad to worse.
The Mariners are well placed in League Two and built on their famous win over Manchester United by marching into the fourth round for the first time in 24 years with victory at an eerily quiet Hillsborough.
Wednesday fans once again protested against the club's ownership by staying away, with the away supporters outnumbering them two to one in an attendance of less than 10,000.

Tuesday's third-round results:

Good morning
Well that wasn't a bad start, was it?
Tottenham returned to the Champions League with a narrow 1-0 win at home to Spanish side Villarreal.
They continued a winning start for Premier League clubs in Europe's top club competition, following on from Arsenal's impressive 2-0 victory over Athletic Club in Bilbao.
Reaction to both those games is coming up, before we start to look ahead to the rest of this week's Champions League ties.
Chelsea and Liverpool are next up this evening, and we will also bring you the news conferences from Manchester City and Newcastle before their games on Thursday.
Yes, Thursday!
