Arsenal have just made modern-day history in the North London Derby after beating Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 again.

The Gunners had to bounce back in the Premier League after dropping points against Wolves in their last game, and Mikel Arteta’s men did it in style.

Eberechi Eze added two more goals to his tally against Spurs, while Viktor Gyokeres scored a fine brace as well in what was arguably his best performance since joining Arsenal.

Arsenal have now completed another double over Tottenham, and this victory will go into the history books.

Arsenal match 91-year North London Derby record after beating Tottenham

Arsenal have historically been the more successful club compared to Tottenham.

The Gunners’ win on Sunday was their 91st North London Derby victory compared to Spurs’ 67. It hasn’t even been close in recent years.

Arteta is now eight games unbeaten against Tottenham, and there have been some memorable wins in that run.

However, the two victories this season will mean more.

Arsenal have beaten Tottenham with a three-goal margin both home and away in the Premier League this term, which is an outstanding achievement.

The last time the Gunners won both games of the season with a three-or-more-goal margin was all the way back in the 1934/35 season.

If you’re wondering what happened in that campaign, Arsenal won 5-1 at home and 6-0 away before winning the English Division One title.

If you could send one message to Tottenham fans after Arsenal’s 4-1 North London Derby win, what would it be?

Arsenal equal another 71-year record after their 4-1 thrashing of Tottenham

The statisticians are hard at work as Arsenal have either broken or equalled several records with their win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The 91-year feat mentioned above showed just how dominant the Gunners have been this season, but another stat shows that the dominance is nothing new.

Arteta’s men have now won four consecutive North London Derbies away from home in the Premier League.

The last time that happened was all the way back in 1955 – 71 years ago!

Arsenal fans should enjoy this victory, as there may not be a North London Derby next season. That is because Tottenham, who are just four points above the drop zone, could be relegated this term.
