Arsenal swoop for Leicester teenager, Tottenham Hotspur want Bournemouth star - Paper Round

Bournemouth will appoint former Borussia Dortmund boss Marco Rose as Andoni Iraola's successor at the end of the season, according to various outlets.

Iraola is preparing to leave The Cherries after three seasons in charge and the club have moved swiftly to replace him.

Former Borussia Dortmund boss Rose is without a job since leaving RB Leipzig in March 2025.

"Bournemouth are set to appoint Marco Rose as their new manager after successful talks with the German," writes The Guardian.

"Rose has emerged as the favoured candidate to replace Andoni Iraola, who is stepping down when his contract expires this summer, and an agreement in principle is in place for him to take over.

"Tiago Pinto, Bournemouth’s head of football operations, has moved swiftly since learning that Iraola has decided to seek a fresh challenge."

Arsenal swoop in for Leicester teenager

Leicester City teenager Jeremy Monga has caught the eye of Arsenal.

The 16-year-old winger is also attracting the interest of other Premier League clubs, but The Gunners are favourites to sign him.

Monga has featured 25 times for The Foxes in this season’s Championship, scoring one goal and grabbing two assists.

He became the second youngest player in Premier League history when he came on as a substitute in Leicester’s 3-0 defeat by Newcastle United in April 2025.

The Telegraph writes: ”Arsenal are showing strong interest in Leicester City teenager Jeremy Monga and hope to fend off competition from rivals in the race for his signature.

”Monga, 16, has attracted widespread interest after breaking into Leicester’s senior side towards the end of last season.

”Telegraph Sport understands that Arsenal are long-term admirers of the winger, who is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in the English game.

”Last year Monga agreed a professional contract with Leicester, which begins when he turns 17 this summer, but that deal does not guarantee the England youth international will remain at the club next season.”

Spurs move for Senesi

Tottenham could sign Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi this summer, if they can avoid relegation.

Senesi’s contract with The Cherries expires at the end of the season and Spurs are said to be the leading contender for his signature.

”Tottenham are in advanced talks with Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi over a free transfer this summer,” notes The Sun.

”The proposed switch would be subject to relegation-threatened Spurs avoiding the drop – just as it would in their pursuit for Liverpool’s Andy Robertson.

”Senesi, 28, is out of contract at the Vitality at the end of the season.

”Tottenham are a leading contender for his signature although it is understood nothing is finalised at this stage and there is interest in the Argentine from elsewhere.

”Left-footed Senesi joined Bournemouth from Feyenoord in 2022 for £10.5million and is set for his 100th Premier League start for the club at Newcastle this weekend.

”Spurs are in the boxseat to sign Liverpool legend Robertson, 32, for nothing this summer if they remain in the Prem.”
