Atletico Madrid beat Club Brugge 4-1 on Tuesday night to take their place in Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League and a potential tie with ourselves or Liverpool.

Norway international striker Alexander Sorloth led the way with his first Champions League hat-trick as the Rojiblancos secured a 7-4 aggregate victory in the play-off.

We will now meet either Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray or Juventus in the Round of 16. Galatasaray and Juve meet in their second leg at the Serie A side's Allianz Stadium on Wednesday evening with the Turkish Super Lig champions 5-2 up from the first leg in Istanbul.

The winners of that tie will enter Friday's draw in Switzerland (11am UK) where we will find out who we will face in the Round of 16.

Level at 3-3 after the first leg in Belgium, Sorloth fired Atletico Madrid ahead in the second leg, only for Joel Ordonez to level for Club Brugge. Johnny Cardoso drilled home from 20 yards three minutes into the second half to make it 2-1 on the night, 5-4 on aggregate, before Sorloth completed his treble to see the La Liga side home.
