Bayern Munich could still sign Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson despite Aston Villa and AC Milan interest - Paper Round
TNT Sports
Nicolas Jackson could join Bayern Munich on a permanent deal but AC Milan and Aston Villa are still interested in the Chelsea forward, while Leeds United may not make a decision over Daniel Farke’s future until the summer. Elsewhere, Dele Alli is training with Tottenham Hotspur to maintain his fitness and their interim boss Igor Tudor is close to appointing another assistant coach.
Jackson wants Bayern move
A permanent move for Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich has not been ruled out for certain despite recent reports.
The striker is there on loan but is unlikely to activate any obligation to the German side to sign him from Chelsea, with Aston Villa and AC Milan both potential alternatives.
The Sun explains: "Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is not giving up on his Bayern Munich dream despite reduced time on the field.
"The Senegal striker has been strongly linked with moves to AC Milan and even Aston Villa recently, with Unai Emery seen as something of a mentor to him.
"SunSport has been told that despite his reduced game time and impact, Bayern manager Vincent Kompany has held talks with him, being as honest and candid as possible, stressing that he remains a key part of the squad and that nothing will be decided until the end of the season.
"Sources close to the player have consistently denied that Bayern have made a decision on his future, insisting there is still a lot of football to be played."
Farke contract talks delayed
Leeds United will not make a decision on Daniel Farke’s contract talks until the season is over.
The German coach's future could be tied to the Premier League status of the club as the relegation battle intensifies.
The Mirror states: "Leeds United have postponed contract talks with Daniel Farke until the end of the season. And Farke might have to keep Leeds in the Premier League in order to secure a new deal at Elland Road.
"The German will enter the final 12 months of his current deal in June. He is keen to remain in charge of Leeds, whatever happens in the coming weeks, and had been hoping to have held negotiations before now.
"But talks have been put on hold - while club bosses wait to see if he can keep Leeds in the Premier League. Leeds are six points above the drop zone with nine games remaining."
Alli training with Spurs
Dele Alli has returned to Tottenham Hotspur as he looks to secure a new club.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder left Como in September last year and is at Spurs to maintain his fitness.
The Athletic reports: "Dele Alli is training individually at former club Tottenham Hotspur to maintain fitness while he searches for a new club.
"The 29-year-old midfielder has been a free agent since leaving Serie A side Como in September.
"Tottenham have confirmed that Dele has been permitted to train on an academy pitch at Hotspur Way, their Hertfordshire base, for a few weeks while he continues to look for a new club. He was seen working with an individual coach on Wednesday.
"Dele scored 67 goals and provided 59 assists in 269 Tottenham games during his six-and-a-half seasons in north London. The attacking midfielder also made 37 England appearances while at the club, scoring at Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup."
Tottenham hope to sign new coach
Ivan Javorcic is expected to join Tottenham Hotspur to work under Igor Tudor as an assistant coach.
Javorcic has worked for the interim Spurs boss before, at Juventus and Lazio, and is expected to make the switch once his work permit is approved.
The Evening Standard claims: "Tottenham are working on adding assistant coach Ivan Javorcic to interim manager Igor Tudor’s backroom staff.
"Javorcic, who worked under Tudor at Juventus and Lazio, is in the process of finalising a work permit.
"Tudor was appointed interim manager until the end of the season after Thomas Frank was sacked following Spurs’ 2-1 defeat at home to Newcastle.
"He brought in three new members of backroom staff, with assistant coach Bruno Saltor, goalkeeping coach Tomislav Rogic, and physical coach Riccardo Raganacci joining existing staff, Andreas Georgson, Cameron Campbell, and Fabian Otte."
