Westerlo, from the Belgian Pro League, have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the season-long loan of Yang Min-hyeok.

The South Korean forward, who joined Spurs in January 2025 but who has never made an appearance and has spent the last 18 months on loan, has travelled to Belgium to complete his move.

No option to make the move permanent has been included in the deal.

Yang, 20, has had three separate loans since moving to England, all with Championship clubs. In January 2025, he joined Queens Park Rangers for six months, making 14 league appearances and scoring two goals.

Last season, a loan to Portsmouth was ended prematurely, after 14 league appearances and three goals, with Yang then moving to Coventry City, who would be promoted under head coach Frank Lampard, but for whom he played just 29 combined minutes in six months.

The move to Belgium will see Yang, who has been capped by South Korea at international level and who remains the youngest goalscorer in K-League history, follow a familiar path for Tottenham players. Luka Vuskovic and Alfie Devine, both of whom were sold by Spurs this summer, to Brighton & Hove Albion and Preston North End respectively, each spent successful loan spells with Westerlo as part of their development.
