A 14-year-old boy was stabbed on a bus near Tottenham Hotspur Stadium yesterday afternoon (August 21), the Metropolitan Police has confirmed. He was attacked on a 279 at the junction of High Road and Bromley Road just before 3.30pm.
The bus was travelling towards Manor House at the time. The teenager is now recovering in hospital with injuries deemed neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
The knifeman is still at large as of this afternoon, with officers continuing to make enquiries. Photos taken at the cordon, and seen by MyLondon, show clothes and medical equipment strewn across a bus stop on High Road.
A forensics team was also seen gathering evidence on the pavement beside the parked bus.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 15:27hrs on Thursday, 21 August to reports of a stabbing on a bus in Haringey. Officers attended the 279 bus route at the junction of High Road with Bromley Road in Tottenham, where a boy had allegedly been stabbed.
"The 14-year-old was treated by London Ambulance Service and taken to hospital where his injuries have confirmed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing. No arrests have as yet been made. Enquiries continue."
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called at 3.27pm yesterday (21 August) to reports of a stabbing in the High Road, Tottenham. We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene. The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes.
"We treated a patient at the scene and took him to hospital as a priority."
