Brighton will be without key midfielder James Milner for the crunch clash at relegation threatened Tottenham.

Milner, 40, missed last Saturday's 2-0 win at Burnley with a "small issue" and the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will also arrive too soon for the former Liverpool man.

Milner has been a key figure of late and played a vital role in Albion's recent run of five wins from their last six matches. The veteran has provided a solid base at the hub of the midfielder, alongside another experienced campaigner Pascal Gross.

Sweden international Yasin Ayari started and performed well at Burnley and is expected to be involved at Tottenham too. Fellow midfielder Carlos Baleba has also been struggling for gametime of late and will hope to feature against Tottenham - although he may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Adam Webster (knee) and Stefanos Tzimas (knee) are the long term absentees.

Lewis Dunk misses out as he serves the second of his two-match ban for picking up 10 bookings this season. The impressive French defender Olivier Boscagli is once again expected to fill in.
