Our newly-launched Junior Supporters’ Focus Group recently held their first meeting at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The group is made up of 10 young supporters, aged between 11 and 16, who will play an important role in sharing feedback and ideas to create the best experience possible for young Spurs fans.

Season Ticket Holders and One Hotspur Members were invited to apply to ensure a diverse range of backgrounds and perspectives from across the junior fanbase.

The first meeting began with activities designed specifically to help the juniors get to know one another, before the group set off on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium.

Representatives from the Club’s supporter engagement and research and insights team met with the group to learn more about the priorities of younger fans, including what they enjoy most about matchdays and what could help them feel even closer to the Club.

The group identified their key priorities:

More opportunities for young fans to engage with players.

Chances to meet with other staff and learn more about how the Club works.

Make new friends and meet with fellow fans.

Grow the group further, over time, to hear from more junior voices.

Fairer access to away match tickets for young supporters.

Opportunities for work experience at the Club.

Visit the training centre, and learn about day-to-day life as a player.

Increase awareness and opportunities linked to the women’s team.

Help develop all aspects of the junior fan experience.

The group also had the opportunity to learn more about supporter engagement at the Club, including the role and work of the Fan Advisory Board and Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust, with supporter representative and former head teacher, Rachel Martin, meeting with the junior members.

The Junior Supporters’ Focus Group will continue to meet throughout the season, holding at least three in-person meetings each year.
