On Tuesday, Corriere dello Sport reported that Bologna are losing interest in the idea of signing Bryan Gil from Tottenham.
This was because of issues surrounding the winger’s fitness, even if Spurs’ valuation of the Spaniard was well within the Italian club’s reach and Fabio Paratici had tired to pitch them into the plan.
Tottenham are now making more attempts to offload Gil, and Manor Solomon as well.
Il Messaggero, as relayed by ForzaRoma, reports AS Roma are considering alternative options to Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho and are looking around the market.
In this process, Tottenham have offered them a chance to sign either, or perhaps even both, Solomon and Gil.
The Israeli winger spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Leeds United and the Spanish winger was loaned out to Girona, where he picked up a serious knee injury. Roma’s response to Tottenham’s offer is yet to be ascertained but this could be another attempt from Fabio Paratici to help out the London giants.
The Italian played a key role in offering 24-year-old Gil to Bologna initially. This happened when he was present at a pre-season friendly involving the Rossoblu and Como some weeks ago and held a discussion with Bologna sporting director Giovanni Sartori.
On the Gil front, there appears something of a desperation building.
