Seven players have opened their Premier League goalscoring account for us against Fulham - six of them registering at Craven Cottage!

In fact, none of the seven were in N17 - Lucas Moura's debut Premier League strike was against Fulham at Wembley, our temporary home between August, 2018 and April, 2019.

Fulham were promoted back into the top flight for the first time since 1968 for the 2001/02 campaign. Six seasons later, Pascal Chimbonda bagged the first of his three Premier League goals for us in a 1-1 draw at the Cottage on 20 January, 2007.

It wasn't long before Gareth Bale and Younes Kaboul did the same, then Fraizer Campbell - his first-ever Premier League goal - and then Vlad Chiriches and Lewis Holtby, like Bale and Kaboul, in the same match. Finally - for the time being - Lucas was the most recent Spur to open his Premier League account for us against the Cottagers, this time in a 3-1 win at Wembley in August, 2018.

As we prepare for Sunday's trip to the Cottage, we look back at the seven debut goals...

Pascal Chimbonda

Fulham 1-1 Spurs - 20 January, 2007

Paul Robinson pulled out all the stops to keep us in this encounter - but it still needed Pascal's late, late equaliser to salvage a point after we looked to have soaked up the home pressure and Fulham went down to 10 men. Robbo denied Heidar Helguson and Brian McBride from close range before the contest appeared to tilt in our favour following Helguson's sending off for two yellow cards on 53 minutes. However, the Cottagers grabbed the lead with only six minutes remaining through Vincenzo Montella's penalty. We kept going through and were rewarded in thr 88th minute when 'Chim' fired home from close range. The popular full-back - still attached to our Legends team - made 103 appearances, 2006-2009.

Gareth Bale, Younes Kaboul

Fulham 3-3 Spurs - 1 September, 2007

A game remembered for Gareth's first goal in Lilywhite - the start of an era, if you like - but this was a cracking contest in SW6. It was a trademark clinical finish from the Welsh star- 18 at the time - after running onto Robbie Keane’s pass. However, it would be mixed feelings for the legend in the making. His goal put us 3-1 up on the hour mark after earlier goals from Younes - his first in the Premier League, pouncing on a loose ball from Bale's corner - and Dimitar Berbatov, but the Cottagers hit back through an own goal and a late leveller from Diomansy Kamara for 3-3. Gareth went on to score 71 goals in 237 appearances for us over two spells, 2007-2013 and 2020/21, while Younes was named captain in 2014 by Mauricio Pochettino on his way to 140 appearances for us also in two spells, 2007/2008 then 2010-2015.

Fraizer Campbell

Fulham 2-1 Spurs - 15 November, 2008

This may have been Harry Redknapp's first defeat as Spurs manager, but it was a special afternoon on the banks of the River Thames for Fraizer. Just 21 at the time, the young striker scored his first-ever Premier League goal and only league goal for us at the Cottage as we tried to haul ourselves back against Roy Hodgson's team. Trailing 2-0 - with ex-Spur Simon Davies opening the scoring - Fraizer gave us a late lifeline when he buried Jermaine Jenas' cross on 81 minutes. It wasn't to be - but this was during Fraizer's best spell in Lilywhite. On loan from United, he scored twice in a 4-2 win against Liverpool in the League Cup just three days earlier. Those were his three goals in 22 appearances in all competitions that season.

Vlad Chiriches, Lewis Holtby

Fulham 1-2 Spurs - 4 December, 2013

Two absolute belters were worthy of winning any game - and turned around another cracker in SW6. It was back and forth throughout with chances created and missed by both sides - Hugo Lloris in fine form, Dimitar Berbatov a threat up front for Fulham - and the deadlock was finally broken on 56 minutes when Berbatov set up Ashkan Dejagah to finish. We found a way back via centre-back Vlad with a stunning half-volley, a clean low strike first-time from 35 yards after Kyle Walker's corner was cleared out to him. With eight minutes left, another worldy, this time Lewis with a screamer into the top corner from 25 yards, sparking scenes of jubilation in front of our fans in the Putney End. Lewis went on to score three goals in 42 appearances while Vlad scored two in 43.

Lucas Moura

Spurs 3-1 Fulham - 18 August, 2018

The sun was out for our first Premier League game at Wembley, English football was still buzzing after reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup - and this game gave an indication of what was to follow in 2018/19. Lucas Moura, signed in January, 2018, would write his name in club history nine months later, but this was also a big moment for the Brazil star, his first Premier League goal - and a beauty, a curler into the top corner to open the scoring. Aleksandar Mitrovic levelled at the start of the second half before Kieran Trippier - who scored a free-kick in England World Cup semi-final against Croatia weeks earlier - repeated the trick for 2-1. It was then left to Harry Kane to secure victory. Moura's never-to-be-forgotten moment arrived in May, 2019 with a hat-trick against Ajax to take us through the the Champions League Final. He departed at the end of the 2022/23 season with 38 goals in 221 appearances.
