Oliver Glasner has ruled Adam Wharton out of Crystal Palace’s Premier League clash against Tottenham on Sunday.
But the Eagles boss believes that the England midfielder will be fit for their FA Cup final against Manchester City the following weekend.
Wharton was forced off after 60 minutes against Nottingham Forest on Monday after rolling his ankle and was replaced by Will Hughes.
“No, unfortunately, he’s [Wharton] not available,” said Glasner.
“If everything goes right, he’ll be re-integrated in full training next week, and on Wednesday when we start preparing for the [FA Cup] final.
“He is the only who can’t play. All the others are fit and available. Ninety per cent, he can play [in the FA Cup final], but always things can happen. Sunday at Tottenham is too early.
“The pain is too much for this game. His ligament is a little bit damaged, that is the reason, the only reason [he can’t play].”
