Tottenham Hotspur have a lot of work to do in the final days of the summer transfer window.
The North Londoners have brought in Mohammed Kudus, Kota Takai and Joao Palhinha so far, and Daniel Levy is pushing to land Eberechi Eze now.
Spurs will still need more incomings, but they will also have to look at player sales, and there are a few who need to be moved on.
Two such players have now been offered to an overseas club.
Tottenham have offered Manor Solomon and Bryan Gil to AS Roma
Manor Solomon and Bryan Gil have no future at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Israeli international joined Spurs in the summer of 2023, but he has played just six games for the North Londoners.
Gil was signed by Tottenham back in 2021 and has played 43 times for Spurs, but he just hasn’t been able to fulfil his potential.
TBR Football confirmed recently that Tottenham have been working very hard to sell Gil, Solomon and Yves Bissouma this summer.
Now, Il Messaggero in Italy have claimed that Spurs have offered Solomon and Gil to AS Roma ‘in the last few hours’.
The Giallorossi are in talks to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, while Jonathan Rowe of Olympique Marseille is also a target.
It remains to be seen if Roma go for Gil or Solomon, or both, ahead of the two names above, because they will likely be cheaper this summer.
Manor Solomon and Bryan Gil’s stats at Tottenham show they’ve been terrible signings
Tottenham have made several mistakes in the transfer windows over the years.
Daniel Levy deserves praise for the good things he has done at Spurs, but he needs to hold his hands up and admit that the likes of Solomon and Gil have been terrible signings.
It has been clear for a while now that Gil has no future at Tottenham, while although Solomon wanted to stay and fight for his place at Spurs, there is no space for him.
Offering the two players to Roma is a good decision by Levy, but only time will tell if the Italian side will sign either of them before the window closes.
