Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of the latest Tottenham Hotspur transfer news on deadline day.
Spurs could be busy toward the end of the winter window with Thomas Frank's side already completing moves for Conor Gallagher and Souza from Atletico Madrid and Santos respectively.
The order of the day could be outgoings and football.london understands that Mansfield Town are leading the way to sign George Abbott on loan.
One player who could remain in north London is Mason Melia, with Spurs not currently expected to loan out the youngster in the hope that he will start to get involved around first team training following his recovery from a back problem.
You can keep up to date with all the latest Spurs transfer news on the blog below...
Can Vuskovic be recalled?
Luka Vuskovic could see his loan spell at Hamburg cut short with Tottenham having a break clause that can be activated in the Janaury transfer window.
That is according to Bild, with an injury crisis possibly forcing Spurs' hand, however Vuskovic and his Dad Danijel have stated he will be remaining in Germany for the remainder of the season.
That is despite the fact Tottenham are in the midst of a big injury crisis with four problems in defence seeing Joao Palhinha and Radu Dragusin end the Manchester City draw as the centre-backs.
Cristian Romero started that game but was ill and taken off at half-time while Pedro Porro, Kevin Danso and Micky van de Ven have all suffered injuries.
Several players could leave Spurs on deadline day
Tottenham youngsters who could yet leave the club on deadline day include midfielders Callum Olusesi, who has interest in Italy from Torino, and Matthew Craig, who has just returned from a cruciate ligament injury. The likes of Dante Cassanova, James Rowswell, Rio Kyerematen and Reiss-Alexander Russell-Denny will all be hoping to be the subject of late interest as well. There has been interest in midfielder Leo Black this month, with Birmingham believed to be among those who had shown an interest in the player, but nothing has materialised as of yet for the 19-year-old, who is out of contract at Tottenham this summer.
Kolo Muani has 'said yes' to Juventus despite 'very complicated situation'
Juventus made a final attempt overnight for Randal Kolo Muani, according to Corriere dello Sport.
However, the situation is said to be very complicated to resolve because of Spurs' stance on keeping the forward. That is without even factoring in Juve's reportedly frosty relations with Paris Saint-Germain in their negotiations.
Spurs signing Raheem Sterling is a 'no-brainer on a free transfer'
Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports News that Spurs should sign Raheem Sterling on a free transfer.
They need players in. Thomas Frank and Tottenham have been unlucky with Solanke, Kulusevski and Maddison all out.
I would bring Sterling in. I think it's a no-brainer on a free transfer. I really do.
You don't want to start bringing every Tom, Dick and Harry in to try and stay up. They just need one or two players in and get their players fit.
More on Spurs' transfer deadline day Mason Melia decision
Tottenham have decided not to loan out Mason Melia on transfer deadline day, with the hope that the young Irish striker will soon start getting involved in first-team training, football.london understands.
Now the decision appears to be that Melia will remain at Tottenham rather than be loaned out on transfer deadline day, and he will begin working with the first team once he receives the all-clear from his back issue.
Thomas Frank and Tottenham make wonderkid transfer deadline day decision
One former Spurs player on the move this morning
Watford have confirmed that Moussa Sissoko has signed for Panathinaikos.
Sissoko signed for the Hornets from Spurs in the summer of 2021, but spent just a single season there before joining Nantes after their relegation to the Championship. The midfielder then returned two years later and now leaves once more to work with Rafa Benitez at the Greek Super League club.
Tottenham in talks over defender loan
football.london understands that Salford City and Spurs are in talks over a loan deal for Alfie Dorrington.
Tottenham recalled the central defender from his loan at Aberdeen last month. That ended Dorrington's second stint north of the border, having also spent the second half of last season with the Dons.
Randal Kolo Muani exit 'very unlikely' despite Juventus interest
Randal Kolo Muani is very unlikely to join Juventus, according to Sky Sports.
They claim that a deal would only go ahead if Spurs can replace the Paris Saint-Germain loanee, so they are not left short if the forward were to depart, because they do not have the squad depth.
Tottenham transfer news: Andy Robertson 'plan' emerges as Real Madrid 'enquiry' launched
A round-up of the latest Tottenham transfer rumours on deadline day morning, including Spurs' plan for Andy Robertson and their 'enquiry' about a Real Madrid player who starred during the Africa Cup of Nations, as the club could look to add further attacking reinforcements before the winter window closes tonight.
West Ham interest in Spurs player rubbished after recent reports
Antonin Kinsky will not be leaving Spurs today, according to Sky Sports, who also reports that West Ham United had no interest last week, despite reports to the contrary.
The goalkeeper has played just twice for Tottenham this season, both in the League Cup, but has been part of every matchday squad.
Tottenham's stance on Mason Melia loan after St Patrick's Athletic transfer
football.london understands Tottenham are not currently expected to loan out Mason Melia today, with the hope that the young Irish striker will start getting involved around first team training as he closes in on recovering from a back problem he arrived with last month.
Tottenham deal 'fell through' over the weekend despite being 'practically done'
Callum Olusesi's transfer to Torino fell through over the weekend due to a change in circumstances, according to Toro News, via Sport Witness.
A deal is not said to be dead, but there are doubts about whether they will be able to revive a deal for the 18-year-old on deadline day.
Potential loan deal
football.london understands League One side Mansfield Town are currently leading the way to sign George Abbott today on loan from Spurs.
First transfer deadline day bombshell comes out of north London...
A surprise story on the other side of north London to start transfer deadline day, as Arsenal are exploring a move to sign Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, according to Sky Germany. The Gunners were credited with an interest in the Italy international before his move to the North East, and are now said to be keen on signing the midfielder as cover for the injured Mikel Merino.
Spurs' deadline day problem as two targets dismissed
Tottenham dismissed Jean-Philippe Mateta and Raheem Sterling as targets before deadline day even began, as Alasdair Gold writes in his look at Spurs' plans.
The problem will be the quality of those players available. Raheem Sterling has been dismissed as a target, as was Jean-Philippe Mateta, now on his way to AC Milan. There will be unexpected approaches ahead and players galore offered to Tottenham in the final hours before the window shuts in the Premier League, Italy, Germany and France at 7pm UK time and 10.59pm in Spain.
Juventus enquiry could impact Kolo Muani's Tottenham future
Juventus have enquired about Beto's availability, according to talkSPORT.
Everton, however, are said to be unwilling to let the forward leave on deadline day because Thierno Barry is their only other striker. Juve want a new centre-forward today, hence their interest in re-signing Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, via Spurs.
Jhon Duran offered - but Spurs' stance on stop-gap signings clear
Alasdair Gold, in his look at Spurs' deadline day plans, has all but ruled out the club signing Jhon Duran on deadline day despite the striker being available this winter.
Jhon Duran has been offered here, there and everywhere to Premier League teams in recent weeks, becoming this window's Ademola Lookman, who himself is finally moving on and is joining Atletico Madrid. Frank admitted on Friday that while he does not want permanent stop-gap signings, loan moves are not out of the question to plug the gaps.
Mateta latest as Palace still waiting on Milan's deadline day decision
Milan will only decide on signing Jean-Philippe Mateta after their club doctor examines the Crystal Palace striker, according to Sky Sports. Spurs, however, have already dismissed Mateta as a target despite links over the past few days.
The latest on Maghnes Akliouche as transfer deadline approaches
The latest from Alasdair Gold on Maghnes Akliouche, as part of a look at Spurs' transfer deadline day plan.
Akliouche, who has just over two years left on his contract, is seen as a good professional behind the scenes and would fit perfectly into the right-sided number 10 role in Frank's newly-installed 3-4-3 formation. football.london reported earlier this month that Monaco were preparing for Akliouche's potential departure either this month or in the summer by looking for replacements.
The Ligue 1 club are still in the Champions League, though, and may want to keep the talented 23-year-old for the play-offs. The final day of the window is also not ideal for losing a star player.
Juventus boss Spalletti speaks about Kolo Muani opportunity
Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti has spoken about the club having 'the opportunity to play with' Randal Kolo Muani ahead of deadline day, saying:
We have the opportunity to play with Kolo Muani, that's a fact, we have to raise our level and our absolute quality. We need a player with certain characteristics.
Three attackers Tottenham have looked at before deadline day
More from Alasdair Gold on players Spurs have looked at ahead of making their deadline day plans.
Tottenham have looked at players such as the injured Savinho, Marmoush and Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche. The latter, who scored against Rennes on Saturday, was seen as a potential alternative to Xavi Simons in the summer but would surely make sense as a presence down the right in Mohammed Kudus' absence and replace Brennan Johnson.
Spurs 'enquired' about Real Madrid move ahead of deadline day
One to keep an eye on today could be Brahim Diaz, as Spurs are said to have enquired about the Real Madrid player's availability, according to TEAMtalk.
Tottenham are reportedly one of several Premier League clubs to do so, including Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
Spurs likely to make a late check on Andy Robertson's status
More from Alasdair Gold on Spurs' transfer deadline day plan:
Frank needs help, and this final day of the winter transfer window is a huge test for Tottenham's recruitment team amid criticism from the fanbase. Every contact Johan Lange and the departing Fabio Paratici have in their phones will need to be used. The attack will likely be Frank's main area of focus, aside from a late check on Andy Robertson's status.
The Scot was an unused substitute in Liverpool's win against Newcastle after playing the full 90 minutes against Qarabag, which Spurs had agreed in principle was meant to be his final game for Arne Slot's side if they could recall Kostas Tsimikas from Roma. So far they have not been able to.
As Frank has done with the likes of Randal Kolo Muani, Mathys Tel and Radu Dragusin, so Slot has said he does not have the squad depth to lose Robertson. Much will depend on what Liverpool do in the coming hours.
Spurs join Man Utd in scouting Stankovic
Spurs are one of multiple Premier League clubs who have scouted Aleksandar Stankovic, according to journalist Matteo Moretto.
Moretto spoke on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel about the in-demand Club Brugge midfielder:
Many English clubs have gone to watch him and scout him live – Tottenham, Manchester United, lots of teams.
