Signe Gaupset is your HSBC Player of the Match after an impressive debut for the Club in our 1-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday.

The young midfielder, who was named in from the off at Brisbane Road, showcased her quality on the ball as well as the confidence to beat players with pace, and her encouraging display was recognised by our supporters to scoop up the award on her maiden outing in Lilywhite.

An arrival from SK Brann in November, 2025, Signe had to patiently wait to wear the our storied colours for the first time, but she certainly didn’t disappoint on her first appearance. Slowly growing into the contest on a cold afternoon in E10, the Norway international soon saw a powerful right-footed effort deflected wide after a charging run from the left and into the area.

From that resulting corner, Eveliina Summanen’s in-swinging delivery from the left was turned into her own net by goalkeeper Olivia Clark to give us the lead just five minutes before the break.

Confidence started to flow through Signe and, in the second half, she combined well with Olivia Holdt on a number of occasions, carving out some early opportunities after the restart, before coming off just after the hour mark to complete her first competitive minutes since early December, 2025.
