Dele Alli has been without a club since leaving Italian side Como last year and the midfielder is now receiving help from his former side Tottenham Hotspur as he attempts to find a contract
Dele Alli has returned to Tottenham Hotspur on a training basis as he aims to find a new club. The midfielder has been without employment since leaving Italian side Como in September last year.
He is keen to remain in football however and is cranking up his search for a new side, having started a training programme at Hotspur Way. According to a number of reports, Dele is being allowed to use Spurs’ facilities on an individual basis in an effort to keep up his fitness.
The 29-year-old shared a video of him in action on the pitches at the club’s training ground on his Instagram account. Dele joined Spurs from MK Dons back in 2015 and went on to make 269 appearances for the North London side, scoring 69 goals.
He returned to the club last month as a guest for the North London Derby clash with Arsenal. Speaking at the time, he said: “I can’t wait to get back on the pitch playing, hopefully it won’t be too long now.

“I hope you’ve missed me as much as I’ve missed you. A lot has happened in our journeys since we were last together but I’m back today and I hope you know that you’ll always be my family.”
Dele left Tottenham back in 2022 as he completed a move to Everton but he made just 13 appearances in all competitions for the Merseysiders. A loan switch to Besiktas then followed, where he scored three goals in 15 outings.
Dele joined Italian side Como in a last-ditch effort to get his career on track but he was sent off on his debut and never represented the club again, with his contract being cancelled.

His former side MK Dons were also linked with an emotional reunion, although boss Paul Warne said that there was nothing to the rumours. He said: “I haven’t heard anything about that. There is absolutely no truth to it, unless I leave here and the owner pulls me aside!
“I’ve heard nothing, I’ve not spoken to him, we don’t know each other, we don’t have phone numbers, there’s no text banter. I’ve not seen him on the training pitch, he’s not asked to come and walk my dog!
“If you want to come here, it doesn’t matter if you’re one of the best players this club has ever had; you’ve still got to at least try and get on my good side! I don’t know who started that rumour, but it’s crazy season.”
