The summer of 2024 was always going to be an important period for Tottenham in Ange Postecoglou's quest to take the club to the next level. Finishing fifth in his first season in North London, the Australian is determined to have his team challenging towards the top of the Premier League and also competing for major honours on a regular basis.
In order to do that, Tottenham needed to add to their playing squad as part of the big changes taking place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. A total of six players were signed for the first team, including the £65million addition of Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.
The striker enjoyed an incredible 2023/24 season at the Vitality Stadium and he was seen as the perfect frontman for Postecoglou's Spurs masterplan. The Lilywhites also had one eye on the future with their summer transfer dealings as teenagers Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Yang Min-hyeok all signed on the dotted line.
