Dominic Solanke has sent a rallying call ahead of Tottenham’s visit to face Liverpool on Sunday.

Spurs are in dreadful shape heading to Anfield, having lost the past six matches in all competitions. With nine games to go, they are lingering perilously close to the relegation zone.

Liverpool aren’t in great shape themselves, though, and while he acknowledged the difficulty of a trip to Merseyside on Mother’s Day, Solanke claimed that Tottenham could still get something from the game.

Arne Slot thinks Tottenham will be a tough game because of their new manager, who has lost four games in a row! 😵‍💫

Solanke not giving up hope of Anfield win

Solanke looked like he had a mind to spoil the party when Spurs last came to Anfield towards the end of last season.

Liverpool knew that a win would see them crowned as Premier League champions but fell behind to a goal from their former player early into the match.

The Reds soon turned things around, but ahead of another trip to his old stamping ground, Solanke says the clash with Liverpool is ‘another opportunity’ for Spurs to put their diabolical form to rest.

“It’s another opportunity. I think that’s the way we have to see it now. It’s another opportunity for us to turn around the form, turn around the results,” he told the Sky Sports Premier League Podcast.

“And it’s not going to be an easy game. No game in the Premier League is easy, but especially away at Anfield. We know it’s going to be difficult, but we have to believe, we have to be brave.”

“I think on our day we can beat anyone, but we just have to show it and do it on the pitch.”

Despite their form entering freefall mode, Liverpool should be wary of Tottenham on Sunday. Igor Tudor’s team still have players who can cause damage, with Solanke being one of them.

If Spurs can find a way to get another early goal at Anfield, the pressure will ramp up on Liverpool to beat a side who have become the division’s whipping boys. The Reds have made almost every game difficult this season, and Solanke is clearly aiming to add another to the list on Sunday.
