Manchester United are reportedly hopeful that Tottenham Hotspur will decide to re-enter the race to sign Alejandro Garnacho in the latter stages of the summer transfer window.

Garnacho has not been involved with Man United since the end of last season, with the Argentina international falling out with Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim following the Europa League final.

The 21-year-old continues to train away from the first team at Carrington, and he is set to leave the 20-time English champions before the summer market closes for business.

Garnacho has reportedly already come to an agreement with Chelsea over personal terms, but the Blues are not thought to be willing to pay more than £25m for the ex-Atletico Madrid youngster.

As it stands, Chelsea are the only serious contenders for Garnacho, placing the London club in a strong position, as Man United are openly keen to sell him before the summer market closes for business.

Man United hoping Spurs 're-join Garnacho race'

According to GIVEMESPORT, Man United are hopeful that Tottenham will decide to re-enter the race for the attacker in the latter stages of the market.

Man United allegedly believe that Chelsea will only be willing to meet their demands if another club are actively attempting to secure Garnacho's signature before the end of the market.

Tottenham are in the market for another attacker, especially after missing out on Eberechi Eze, with the England international now on the verge of making the move to Arsenal from Crystal Palace.

Spurs could therefore decide to reignite their interest in Garnacho, who could potentially join Chelsea for as little as £30m in the closing stages of the summer window.

Man United have been forced to slash Garnacho asking price

At the start of the summer transfer window, Man United are believed to have valued Garnacho at £70m, but they will not be selling him for anywhere near that amount before the market closes.

The Red Devils are now thought to value the forward in the region of £45m, which is a fair price considering Garnacho's age and ability to develop further.

Garnacho has scored 26 goals and registered 22 assists in 144 matches for Man United in all competitions, including 11 goals and 10 assists in 58 outings during the 2024-25 campaign.
