Eveliina Summanen has been nominated for the Barclays Women’s Super League Goal of the Month award!
In recognition of her stunning free-kick against London City Lionesses earlier this month, Eveliina has been shortlisted for November’s edition of the WSL award.
With the scoreline 2-1 to London City Lionesses at the time, the midfielder stepped up for a free-kick, central and around 25 yards out, and curled the ball over the wall and into the top right corner.
It was certainly a good way to open your account for this term, scoring her first WSL goal of the campaign.
As always, there is competition for the prize with Everton’s Hikra Kitagawa and Kelly Gago, Manchester United’s Jess Park, Chelsea’s Alyssa Thompson, London City Lionesses’ Freya Godfrey and Manchester City’s Lauren Hemp.
