Grassroots Ghanaian side Nima Kings FC, based in the Nima community of Accra, has officially released its new home kit for the 26-27 season. Created in collaboration with designer Amin Nima, the shirt is dubbed the "Fugu Jersey" and draws profound inspiration from rich Ghanaian heritage.

The shirt is modelled after the traditional fugu (also known as the batakari), a ceremonial hand-woven smock garment historically worn by royalty, chiefs, and warriors across Ghana. The jersey features a vivid magenta base overlaid with tonal vertical stripes and subtle pinstripes, perfectly complemented by a distinctive white smock-cut collar that replicates the neckline of authentic cultural attire.

Completing the royal aesthetic, the kit is finished with an angular gold club crest on the left chest, the Amin Nima emblem on the opposite side, and a prominent "VISIT NIMA" text across the torso. Matching gold diamond motifs line the white sleeve cuffs, rounding off one of the most culturally inspired grassroots kits of the season.

Mexican giants Cruz Azul have unveiled a bespoke font on their 26-27 kits in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month ("Octubre Rosa"). As part of a long-standing tradition across Liga MX each October, clubs incorporate pink detailing into their match gear to promote awareness, prevention, and early detection of the disease.

Crafted for their 26-27 Pirma home and goalkeeper jerseys, the custom numbers showcase a striking pink and white mosaic inspired by the club's iconic cross motif. At the base of each digit, the pattern subtly shapes into the awareness ribbon. Inside the numbering, the official Cruz Azul crest sits above "Número Oficial 2026-2027" text, while the player names are rendered in matching pink lettering framed with a crisp white border.

The special font was seen on match-prepared jerseys in the locker room for players including Alan Mozo, goalkeeper Kevin Mier, and forward Christian Ebere. Cruz Azul are wearing the commemorative typography across their Liga MX Apertura matches throughout October.

Lexington Sporting Club has officially unveiled a special new kit produced in collaboration with Hummel. Named the "Fire Within" jersey, the bespoke look pays tribute to Kentucky's storied bourbon heritage and the fiery charring process essential to barrel aging.

The shirt is built around a deep charcoal palette accented by vertical stripes textured to mirror the cracked, charred wood inside aged bourbon barrels.

To contrast the dark base, Hummel applied a vivid amber-and-orange fire gradient across the Lexington SC crest, the Hummel chevrons, and the UK HealthCare front sponsor. Bespoke finishing touches include "Fire Within" printed across the upper back of the collar and a custom flaming barrel graphic stamped with "LEX" on the lower hem.

Photographed on location at Lexington's historic James E. Pepper Distillery, the kit is set to be worn by both the club's men's and women's sides. The Hummel Lexington SC Fire Within jersey is available to purchase now through the club's official online store.

Mitre has officially unveiled the new match ball for the 2026-27 Women's FA Cup campaign. Based on the brand's flagship Ultimax Pro model, the ball features an eye-catching, vibrant graphic palette combining vivid purple, neon lime, pink, and deep black. Overlapping brush-stroke and distressed patterns run across the upper, framed by Mitre's signature Delta chevrons highlighted with metallic accents that pay tribute to the iconic Women's FA Cup trophy.

Technically, the Mitre Ultimax Pro 26-27 ball utilizes a modern six-panel thermally bonded construction engineered for zero water absorption and complete shape retention. Debossed Hyperflow surface grooves provide a 10% reduction in aerodynamic drag for enhanced flight consistency, while the internal structure incorporates 20% more Hyperfoam cushioning compared to earlier versions to deliver a cleaner touch and improved power response. The ball naturally carries FIFA Quality Pro certification.

The new match ball will make its official on-pitch debut this weekend during the First Round Proper of the competition on October 25, 2026. It will be used throughout every stage of the tournament, all the way to the 2026-27 Women's FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium on May 15, 2027.
