Everton will be looking to bolster their attacking options in the summer transfer market.
Along with a number of players set to leave Everton at the end of their contracts, the Toffees need to solve their squad depth issues.
David Moyes arrived in January and has some real big decisions to make alongside the Friedkins.
During the game against Brentford on Wednesday, Moyes was frustrated with Everton’s attacking output after some big chances were squandered.
There have certainly been some improvements made at Everton since Moyes’ arrival with goals being scored much more frequently than under Sean Dyche.
However, injuries have riddled the Toffees this season with Iliman Ndiaye out for weeks through his recent issue suffered in the Merseyside Derby.
More options are going to be required in the summer.
Everton target Manor Solomon is open to leaving Tottenham
With the summer transfer window approaching, Everton have shown an interest in Manor Solomon who has been on loan with Leeds United this season.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
The Tottenham Hotspur winger is spending the season on loan in the Championship, where he has really gone on to impress.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Solomon is a player who is expected to make a permanent move away from north London this summer.
“For sure, I think Leeds want to keep the player; they will try but they will need to get promoted,” Romano said on the Market Madness show.
“Manor Solomon is a player from a different level. So, I agree with you, there will be more clubs interested from the Premier League.
“Again, it is not something really, really advanced yet, the player is fully focused on the pitch, from what I’m hearing. So, nothing really concrete but the interest from Leeds is absolutely there in making this deal permanent.
“They will try, they will approach Tottenham closer to the end of the season. There was also interest from Italy before he joined Leeds; there was an Italian club keen to approach Tottenham, but the player preferred to continue in England.”
Moyes wanted to sign a new forward in the January transfer window, but he had to make do with the addition of midfielder Carlos Alcaraz.
Fortunately, Beto has provided the Toffees with some important goals, which has certainly eased any pressure on the Everton chiefs following the window.
Everton may struggle out prise Solomon away from Leeds
Although Tottenham may be open to selling Solomon, he is enjoying a solid spell at Elland Road on loan this season.
The Whites are looking like strong favourites to win the Championship and earn themselves automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
Angus Kinnear may be able to help Everton sign Solomon, but it is apparent he has settled in well at the Yorkshire club.
If Everton are serious about signing Solomon in the summer, they will surely be hoping for something to go dramatically wrong with Leeds’ 2024/25 campaign.
