Fabio Paratici has made his long-awaited return to Tottenham Hotspur, and his arrival has caused quite a stir in North London.
On Wednesday afternoon, Tottenham confirmed the reappointment of Paratici as the sporting director at the football club.
There was quite a shake-up in the boardroom at Spurs over the summer, with newly appointed CEO Vinai Venkatesham eager to bring Paratici back.
Fabrizio Romano has now been discussing the return of the Italian director and how important his return could be for Thomas Frank’s team.

Romano has revealed that Fabio Paratici is ‘really appreciated’ by many at Tottenham Hotspur, and his return is a major boost for the club.
Paratici made some great signings at Tottenham during his first spell at the club, including the likes of Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski, Pape Matar Sarr, Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro.
So the former Juventus director is already well known by many members of Spurs’ squad and most of whom hold him in high regard.
Romano told his YouTube channel: “Really important news for Tottenham because Fabio Paratici, who is also really appreciated by many of the fans, people at the club, players as well, what he did at Tottenham is really important.
“Creating the crucial part of the squad we see right now playing in the Champions League, winning a trophy with the Europa League. Some of the best signings in recent years at Tottenham are thanks to the work of Fabio Paratici, now back in control.”
Paratici will be welcomed with the £100m invested by ENIC into Tottenham, and they will be hoping he can use the money wisely to improve the squad.

Venkatesham has revealed that Paratici has long been working behind the scenes at Tottenham and played a key role in the appointment of Frank.
The 53-year-old also issued the North London club with advice during the recent summer transfer window, which saw the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons sign.
Venkatesham explained to Tottenham Hotspur’s official channels: “Fabio has been working for the club as a consultant, so he has been giving us advice, for example, during the transfer window and also during the process we appointed Thomas. So it’s new, but in some ways not completely new.”
Given the success of the summer window and Frank already showing his quality, it’s clear that Paratici is already off to a great start.
