Savinho’s injury-enforced absence from Manchester City’s squad in their 4-0 win against Wolves was not felt by Pep Guardiola and Co as they put in a statement performance at the Molineux Stadium.

Rayan Cherki lauded Oscar Bobb’s display against Wolves as the Brazilian was not involved in proceedings for City.

With Savinho being open to joining Tottenham Hotspur, perhaps Bobb could be his in-house replacement on the right flank.

However, Spurs have bid twice for the 21-year-old to no avail.

After their initial £42 million bid, Tottenham’s £60 million offer to sign Savinho was rebuffed by Manchester City as well.

Savinho must tell Pep Guardiola he wants to leave Man City to seal Tottenham move

Ultimately, City perhaps do not have much of an incentive to sell Savinho as he remains one of the most gifted youngsters in the Premier League.

Simultaneously, we confirmed that Pep Guardiola’s side are eyeing Rodrygo in case the former Troyes winger is granted his wish to become a Lilywhites player.

However, Fabrizio Romano claimed on his YouTube channel that unless Savinho tells Guardiola directly that he aims to leave, his potential move to Tottenham could be impacted: “Guys, Man City want Rodrygo. But only if Savinho leaves. Now, the situation at Manchester City is quite clear. If Tottenham put big money, 50, 60, €70 million (£60.4 million) or the bid is more than €70 million or Savinho stays at Manchester City. Manchester City are not desperate to let Savinho go.”

“If Savinho goes to Pep Guardiola’s office and says, ‘Coach, I want to go. Pep, let me go’, in that case, you’ll remember what happened with Julian Alvarez and other players, Man City could try to find a solution with Tottenham.”

The ‘interesting’ clause in Savinho’s contract Tottenham could exploit

Guardiola lets unsettled players leave at will and it seems like the Tottenham target will be no different if he knocks on his door and has an honest conversation about his future. There is a clause in Savinho’s contract, which Will Pugh described as “interesting” as he revealed that the player’s wages will be doubled if he plays 100 games for Manchester City.

Pugh claimed that the highly-rated wideman is keen on a salary hike, which is one of the many reasons why a move to N17 is enticing him and earning more than £45,000 in wages.
