KICK OFF! Fulham 0-0 Man Utd

The banks of the Thames is Ruben Amorim's next stop but where will United's story flow next?

Fulham get us underway...

FREE highlights after FT in THIS blog! 🚨 | ALL PL Highlights ▶️

Here we go!

Out come the teams at Craven Cottage!

Which version of Manchester United will we see today? The worst version in the history of the club again? Or a team that Ruben Amorim wants to see?

As Marco Silva is here, we need to talk about Fulham too. Can they open up a ten-point gap over United this evening!

Team news reminder!

Right, just over five minutes to go until kick-off at Craven Cottage, here's a reminder of your two teams:

Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Lukic; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Iwobi, Jimenez

Man Utd: Onana; De Ligt, Maguire, Martinez; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dalot; Garnacho, Amad, Hojlund

Fulham favourites to beat Man Utd...

Sky Sports' Peter Smith at Craven Cottage:

"Fulham favourites to beat Man Utd? Who'd have thought it.

"Of course, under Marco Silva, Fulham have been playing some wonderful stuff this season. But it's a damning reflection of how far Man Utd have fallen - and their dreadful form under Ruben Amorim.

"After snatching a late win over Rangers having been pegged back at Old Trafford, can United back up that result with an upset victory at Craven Cottage?!

"Let's find out..."

Amorim: We want to be better on the ball

Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim

"A better performance but even if we win not playing so well, it's important for us.

"But we have to focus on the performance. We want to improve with the ball, give us more time without suffering."

Onana in the spotlight

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has made three errors to leading to an opposition goal this season, the most by a Man Utd player in a campaign since David de Gea in 2019-20 (3).

His save ratio of 63.6% is the lowest by a Red Devils goalkeeper since Anders Lindegaard in 2012-13 (55.3%).

Fulham to strike first?

Manchester United have gone 1-0 down in eight of their last nine Premier League matches, while since Ruben Amorim’s first game on 24 November, no side has conceded first more times than the Red Devils (8, level with Southampton).

Fulham out to end long wait for a win over Man Utd at the Cottage

Fulham have won just one of their last 18 Premier League games against Manchester United (D3 L14), picking up a 2-1 win at Old Trafford last season.

Since losing twice away to Fulham in 2009 (0-2 in March, 0-3 in December), Manchester United are unbeaten in eight Premier League visits to Craven Cottage, winning the last seven in a row (D1).

'This is not sustainable' - but how bad are Man Utd's finances?

Manchester United revealed they lost £300m over the last three years and must make cuts to comply with PSR requirements.

Sky Sports' Peter Smith, with the help of Sky Sports News' chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol, looks at the club's financial picture...

Van der Sar back at the Cottage

Former Fulham and Man Utd goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is back at Craven Cottage tonight, with a special tribute to him set for half-time.

Expect goals?!

Fulham have scored exactly two goals in each of their last five Premier League matches. Only once in their top-flight history have they netted 2+ goals in six games in a row, doing so between February and April 1966.

Since losing 1-0 to Man Utd on the opening day of the season, Fulham have only failed to score in one of their 21 Premier League matches, a goalless draw against bottom side Southampton in December. The Cottagers are averaging 1.6 goals per game in 2024-25, their best ratio in a Premier League season, while their 14.1 shots per game are their best since 2011-12 (14.2).

Fulham unchanged

Fulham name the same side which beat Leicester last time out.

With only Kenny Tete and Reiss Nelson on the sidelines, boss Marco Silva had a near-full squad to choose from.

However, midfielder Sasa Lukic will have to be careful - if he's booked tonight it will be his 10th yellow of the season and he'll be set for a two-game ban.

Five changes for United as Onana returns in goal

Man Utd have made five changes from the side which beat Rangers on Thursday - with Andre Onana returning in goal.

The shot-stopper looked to be under pressure for his place when his mistake in the loss to Brighton last weekend was followed by Altay Bayindir playing well in the Europa League.

There are more changes in defence from the midweek win, with Harry Maguire in for Leny Yoro, who came off in that game, and Noussair Mazraoui back in the squad and into the XI.

Toby Collyer and Christian Eriksen make way, with Manuel Ugarte back in the fold.

Meanwhile, up front, Rasmus Hojlund takes Joshua Zirkzee's spot.

Victor Lindelof is back in the squad after injury and Matthijs de Ligt has been cleared to play.

Jones Knows: Fulham to show why they're favourites

Sky Sports' Lewis Jones:

"Fulham going off clear favourites to beat Manchester United in the Premier League is a little mind blowing to football fans like me who have lived through the dominance of the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

"Those days are long gone now and such has been their poor recruitment in recent years, where they've blown over £160m on Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee and Antony, the chance of a successful rebuild with the purse strings now tightened looks slim.

"Fulham are the more cohesive, better coached, organised and confident team, playing some great stuff this season under the criminally underrated Marco Silva.

"It's why they are as short as 5/4 with Sky Bet for maximum points. A price many will snap up - and I can totally see why."

SCORE PREDICTION: 2-1

Last time out: United grab late winner vs Rangers

Bruno Fernandes scored a stoppage-time winner for Manchester United as they beat Rangers 2-1 at Old Trafford despite Cyriel Dessers’ late equaliser on Thursday.

The Rangers forward had looked to have secured a point for the Scottish club in the 88th minute when he sensationally bested Harry Maguire to score a beautiful goal and cancel out Jack Butland's earlier own goal but Fernandes then volleyed in superbly to secure victory.
