Tottenham Hotspur cannot realistically have a worse season than they did in 2024/25.

The North Londoners finished just one place above the relegation zone after losing a staggering 22 games in the Premier League last term.

Their domestic form was forgotten by some fans because they ended up winning the Europa League, but Daniel Levy’s decision to sack Ange Postecoglou proves that league position is very important.

Thomas Frank will be confident that he can help Tottenham finish much higher in the table than they did last season.

Gabriel Agbonlahor predicts where Tottenham will finish in the 2025/26 Premier League season

There’s always some excitement when a new manager is at the helm.

Frank did a brilliant job when he was at Brentford, and although his style of play isn’t as attractive as Postecoglou’s was in attack, it is still very effective.

The dream for Tottenham will be to finish in one of the Champions League places and stay in the competition for another season.

However, Gabriel Agbonlahor believes they will fall short, despite claiming that Daniel Levy will spend another £100 million in the coming weeks.

He said on talkSPORT: “I think they will finish in seventh!

“I think they’ll spend more than that (what Morgan Gibbs-White would’ve cost). It wouldn’t surprise me to spend another £100 million.

“Yes, because of the Champions League money. I mean, winning the Europa League, the Champions League money makes a big difference.

“And Thomas Frank wouldn’t have taken this job if he wasn’t guaranteed to get certain players that he wanted.”

Daniel Levy could disappoint another Tottenham manager

Frank has a massive job on his hands on the pitch, but it won’t be an easy ride off it either.

Almost every manager Tottenham have had over the years has had issues with recruitment because Daniel Levy rarely ever goes all out for a target.

The new Premier League season starts in just over two weeks’ time, and Spurs have signed just two players so far – one of whom has never played in Europe before.
