The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper has posted a message to the club's supporters following his loan move to Juventus
Guglielmo Vicario has posted a heartfelt message to Tottenham supporters after completing his loan move to Juventus.
The 29-year-old has followed in his idol Gianluigi Buffon's footsteps by heading to Turin after the Serie A side gave up on trying to prise Emiliano Martinez away from Aston Villa at the weekend and switched their attentions to the Spurs man instead on Sunday.
With his medical taking place on Monday, Vicario completed his loan move on Tuesday with an option for Juventus to sign the goalkeeper permanently for £8.5million (10m euro).
The Italy international joined Tottenham in the summer of 2023 from Empoli and has made 117 appearances for the north London club. He helped them win the Europa League last year, making a last-gasp save from Manchester United defender Luke Shaw's header in the final in Bilbao.
Vicario posted a message to Spurs supporters on Instagram after the contract was signed and the loan move to Juventus was official and told them he expects an exciting season for them under Roberto De Zerbi.
