Martin Ho revealed that Molly Bartrip remains unavailable for this weekend's trip to Everton on Sunday afternoon, with fellow defender Ashleigh Neville to be assessed.
Molly missed last weekend’s season opener win over West Ham United at Brisbane Road after a late penalty from Bethany England earned us our first win in the WSL since January.
Our Head Coach has confirmed that our number five will now miss the trip to Goodison Park, along with long-term absentees Luana Buhler and Ella Morris.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Martin told the media: "It's just the same ones as before. Luana, Ella and Molly still out, and there are some knocks that we are assessing from the last game."
He was then later asked about the availability of ‘Ash’ after the defender missed the whole of pre-season and the season opener with the Hammers, but our Head Coach said she returned to training today (12 September) but will need to be assessed ahead of the trip to Merseyside.
"She has been unfortunate with small injuries,” he told the media.
“She had a bit of a knock and we gave her time to recover from that. She was back on the pitch training today, which is important, but I have to speak with the medical team, as I said, to see where she sits for the weekend."
