It is going to be very interesting when Chelsea face Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.

Tottenham travel to Stamford Bridge in May and will have former Chelsea star Conor Gallagher in their ranks.

The midfielder is set to join the north London club from Atletico Madrid as Thomas Frank tries to bring in reinforcements.

Spurs are set to sign the midfielder

In 2024, Gallagher spoke about his Chelsea exit, rejecting claims that he was not a good match for Enzo Maresca’s style of football.

Conor Gallagher has no issues with Chelsea after decision to sell him

While Chelsea and Tottenham are fierce rivals, Gallagher has never held any reservations about playing for the latter, according to The Telegraph.

The same outlet has also claimed that the 25-year-old has no qualms with Chelsea’s decision to sell him and is pleased that he did not have to push for a move during his time there.

In total, Gallagher made 95 appearances for Chelsea. He scored 10 goals in blue and finished his final season in west London captaining the team after Reece James and Ben Chilwell’s injuries.

Tottenham will feel that they are getting the Englishman for a bit of a bargain. He has agreed to join them in a deal worth around £30m.

At one stage, Chelsea were trying to sell Gallagher for £50m, but Atletico ended up paying less than that for his signature.

Liam Rosenior would have loved to have Conor Gallagher for Arsenal clash

Chelsea were happy to get rid of Gallagher, but they could probably do with a player like him on Wednesday.

Chelsea could be without Reece James for their Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal, a game that Moises Caicedo will also miss because of suspension.

Ultimately, Rosenior is lacking experienced midfield options right now. He could throw Dario Essugo into the match, but he has just come back from injury and it is likely to be a high-intensity game.

If James misses out, you would have to have concerns about a midfield partnership of Enzo Fernandez and Andrey Santos. It will get outrun.
