‘Double Vision’ is OOF’s first major photography show since 2022 and is now open at Warmington House – accessible via the Spurs Shop at the Tottenham Experience - until 31 August.

Robinson goes down in Spurs folklore having taken the iconic image of the great Bill Nicholson holding open the famous White Hart Lane gates in the 1970s.

The gates have since been widely known as the Bill Nicholson Gates and will soon be reinstated to the stadium environs - within PAXTON17, between the Ticket Office and historic buildings - following their removal ahead of the new stadium construction in 2015.

This image, amongst other classics from Peter’s vast collection, is on display at the exhibition. A large one-off signed print of the Bill Nicholson Gates photo will be auctioned for charity, with proceeds split between the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Tottenham Tribute Trust (TTT).

The TTT is a first-of-its-kind independent charity, established and supported by the Club, run fully by volunteer Trustees since 2002, dedicated to serving the needs of former players who find themselves in a situation that compromises their quality of life.

‘Double Vision’ will survey Robinson’s 60-plus year career, documenting world football from the lower leagues to the very highest level. The exhibition splits his work into a series of themed sections, from the psychology of taking a penalty, to players feigning injury and hastily drawn shirt numbers.

Starting out working for the Football League Review, a publication based in his native Leicester, Robinson’s eye for the striking, the dramatic and, often, the unusual, led him to cover a staggering 13 World Cups, working as FIFA's official photographer for over 20 years. He had a knack for spotting the truly fascinating occurrences away from the on-field action, finding charm, humour, incongruities and clever juxtapositions that elevate his work beyond football photography.

Robinson has provided OOF with the opportunity to dedicate an entire room to his Tottenham Hotspur photography, including the historic photo of Bill Nicholson, a famous black and white image of the classic late '60s Spurs squad graffitied on a wall, plus a sublimely cool portrait of Ossie Ardiles shortly after signing for Spurs in 1978.

Special edition prints of these three classic Spurs images will also be available for fans to purchase.

OOF Gallery open hours (including on event days) are:

Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays: 10am-5pm

Saturdays: 11am-5pm

Sundays: 12pm-4pm

OOF Gallery adds to the vibrancy the Club and its new stadium is bringing to London N17, with employment and educational opportunities, a new sport, leisure and entertainment destination and an estimated £344 million into the local economy every year.
