Manchester United news as Sir Jim Ratcliffe takes action regarding another one of his sporting ventures in the Premier League

Manchester United co-owners Ineos are set to hold talks with Tottenham to strike an agreement to end their sponsorship of thePremier League side.

The Daily Mail have reported that the petrochemicals giants are keen to withdraw from their five-year contract. The agreement has been in place since 2022, before Ineos got involved in United at the end of 2023.

Ineos are 4 x 4 partners of Spurs with their Grandier vehicle with the brand's logo printed in the dug-outs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. On Sunday, United's co-owners name regularly appeared on advertisement boards around the stadium.

The report adds that the deal is worth around several millions per season. With Ineos going ahead with their reductions in cost around United, their wider sporting portfolio is the next casualty after a series of cuts at Old Trafford.

New Zealand Rugby recently announced their plans to take legal action against the company after an early exit was confirmed from a sponsorship deal. Ineos' relationship with Sir Ben Ainslie's America' Cup team has also been cancelled and reports have indicated their stake in Mercedes Formula 1 is also under threat.

Ineos' deal with Tottenham runs until 2027 but United's co-owners are now looking to come to an agreement with the north London side to terminate the deal now.

It's not yet clear how much of an impact a possible termination will have on United but the cost-cutting methods have been linked with aiming to inject funds into the transfer budget for Ruben Amorim.
