Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur underwent successful hamstring surgery back in January after picking up the injury in the 3-2 Premier League defeat at Bournemouth
Rodrigo Bentancur's personal fitness coach expects the Tottenham midfielder to be back in action towards the end of April.
The Uruguay international is fully focused on returning in time to play a small part in Spurs' push for Premier League safety and this summer's World Cup.
The 28-year-old picked up a hamstring injury in January's dramatic 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth before undergoing a successful operation. However, there have been very few updates on his recovery since then. Bentancur's very own fitness coach Daniel Fernandez spoke to Uruguayan radio station 100% Deporte.
In what feels like rare positive news, he indicated his client is already ahead of schedule and could return sooner than initially anticipated.

Per Fernandez, Bentancur is around 15 days ahead of schedule and could be ready to return to light training later this month.
That said, it's unlikely the 28-year-old will be ready to play a competitive game until late April as he'll need to rebuild his fitness and learn to trust his body again.
Understandably both Tottenham and Uruguay are reluctant to rush his return as they both need Bentancur fit and firing in the months ahead.
The priority for all parties is avoiding any setbacks, though there's an acceptance within Spurs that they have sorely missed the South American.
Last October, Bentancur followed captain Cristian Romero in signing a new deal to stay put in north London.
But he is one of several key players that remains sidelined through injury and effectively, he's proved powerless in recent months in the club's quest to beat the drop.
Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison are yet to kick a ball this season while Destiny Udogie, Wilson Odobert, Mohammed Kudus, Ben Davies and Lucas Bergvall are also currently sidelined.
Tottenham travel to Liverpool on Sunday in hope their Premier League survival bid will catch fire. Interim boss Igor Tudor is now under growing pressure as he's lost all four of his matches at the helm and conceded 14 goals in the process.
Spurs then face Atletico Madrid in the return fixture before hosting fellow relegation rivals Nottingham Forest in a massive six-pointer at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
At this stage, you cannot say with any degree of certainty that Tudor will still be in charge come the beginning of the international break.
