Tottenham Hotspur have signed Mohammed Kudus despite his altercation with Micky van de Ven last season.

Spurs have suddenly become very active on the transfer market.

The North Londoners completed the signing of Kudus on Thursday, and almost simultaneously, Daniel Levy agreed to trigger Morgan Gibbs-White’s release clause.

The second deal is yet to be completed, at the time of writing, but Kudus is already in the building at Tottenham, and James Maddison is having some fun.

Micky van de Ven’s hilarious reaction after seeing Mohammed Kudus at Tottenham

Micky van de Ven and Mohammed Kudus have some history together.

The two players were involved in a physical altercation during a game between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United last season.

Kudus even struck Van de Ven on the face during the incident, leading to his first-ever straight red card.

Tottenham released a funny video of Kudus and Van de Ven after a deal to sign the former was completed, and Spurs fans loved that.

Now, Maddison has got in on the act.

The Englishman posted a video on his Instagram with the caption: “Micky, you alright this morning mate?”

The video first shows the Dutchman sitting across the table from Maddison. When the camera pans towards the right, Kudus can be seen in the adjacent table.

An edited clip of the two players’ altercation from last season is then played, before the camera shows Van de Ven again — Maddison can be heard asking if he’s ‘alright’.

Mohammed Kudus is an excellent signing for Tottenham

We’re sure there will be a lot of banter between Van de Ven and Kudus in the months to come, and that will be great to see.

But, all jokes aside, Tottenham deserve a lot of praise for signing the Ghanaian.

Many people felt that Spurs would find it difficult to lure Kudus out of their London rivals, West Ham, but for Levy to sign him for £55 million is incredible business.

The 24-year-old is incredibly versatile, possesses brilliant skills on the ball and has the ability to create and score goals in the Premier League.
