James Maddison has interestingly been spotted in training with a player linked with joining him at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Spurs vice-captain's summer, of course, didn't begin as he would have hoped. After making Gareth Southgate's initial 33-man England squad for Euro 2024, Maddison eventually discovered he was to be one of seven left at home when the tournament actually got underway.

Conclusions can be drawn about that call - and many others over the last two weeks - as the Three Lions limped to a Round-of-16 exit to Slovakia, though the midfielder has sought to respond the best way he knows how on the field of play.

June has been a month of recuperation for the 27-year-old, taking time in the sun to recover and get some warm-weather individual training in Portugal for the 2024/25 season ahead. However, he wasn't exactly alone, as new footage shows the Spurs man engaging in his latest activities with none other than Morgan Gibbs-White.

The pair, making use of a BAStraining summer camp on their travels, can be seen in the footage playing a cat-and-mouse style game. Perhaps as well, the Spurs man has been making use of his time persuading the 24-year-old of a change of scenery once both are back in England?

Gibbs-White has previously been linked with joining Ange Postecoglou's side, with the club being told back in March of Forest's £50m asking price. However, that was when the East Midlands side were under pressure to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), the deadline for which elapses on Sunday, June 30, with other sales earlier in the week raising the funds they required.
