Jess Naz is targeting a strong end to 2025 as we return to action after the final international window of the year – and first up is the visit of Aston Villa to Brisbane Road on Sunday.

Boasting a strong record at home this term, losing just once in seven games in all competitions, the Villans will be our final test at home of the calendar year – tickets still available to buy – as we look to go four WSL games unbeaten on home turf for the first time since the 2021/22 campaign.

“It’s good to have everyone back now and I’m just ready to get back to it, get another win and put on a strong performance for our fans,” she told us.

“We’ve now got a nice block of games where we can just focus on the last three games of the year. Obviously one of them is a quarter-final in the cup, so a big chance for us to progress even further in that competition and play against top teams – that’s what we want to be doing so we can challenge ourselves.”

Reflecting on the season to date, she added: “We’ve made massive progress. If you look at the first batch of the season already then, we’ve hit a lot of the goals from last season so we want to keep pushing for more.

“We’re certainly not a finished product and we still have a lot way to go, but this is just the beginning of something really good for us.”

Our last home game saw us record our highest-ever WSL attendance at Brisbane Road and the 24-year-old is keen to put on one final key performance this weekend.

“They have been massive,” she said, talking about the impact of the supporters this term. “This season, in particular, the support has been awesome, obviously a record-breaking crowd at Brisbane Road last time out against Arsenal.

“The fans have just been growing and growing and I always feel like they are our 12th player on the pitch, cheering us on and getting us through the games. We owe it to the supporters to put on a performance for them and we’ll continue to do our best for them.”
