Utilising the England Men's Under-18 side for the tournament, Jun'ai and Luca are both regulars in England's Under-17 and Under-18s squads, with the former having twice captained the side at this level, including last month against Canada - a game in which he also scored.

Luca, proud holder of Legacy Number 900 for the Club having made his first team debut for us last month at the age of just 16 years old as we ran out 3-0 winners over Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup, also scored in that win over Canada, adding to an effort against Uzbekistan earlier in the month.

Coincidentally, the forward's goal against Canada was set up by his good friend and Spurs team-mate Tynan Thompson, who only made his first international appearance for England in September but made such an impact that he has also earned his place in the World Cup squad.

This year's tournament is a 48-team competition with England's campaign kicking-off on Tuesday 4 November as they take on their first of three group stage games.

Drawn into Group E, the Young Lions begin with the test of Venezuela before the challenge of Haiti (7 November) and Egypt (10 November). All games are taking place in the Aspire Zone in Al Rayyan.

The top two finishers in the group will progress to the knockout stages, beginning with the round of 32, as will the eight best third place finishers.

In total, 104 games will be played across the 25 days with the Final taking place on 27 November at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha.

England last won this tournament in 2017 with two of our Academy graduates part of the squad - Timothy Eyoma (831) and Tashan Oakley-Boothe (823).

Current Development Squad midfielder Reiss Russell-Denny represented England at the 2023 edition of the tournament while 2015 saw Marcus Edwards (814), Alfie Whiteman (847) and Kazaiah Sterling (826) involved and 2007 saw Danny Rose (751) as our sole representative.

Best of luck, lads!
