With the home side lining up in their usual red and white striped shirts, black shorts and black socks, we’ll be using a combination of our away and home kits to avoid a colour clash this weekend.
Our new 2026/27 away shirts – featuring a dark navy blue base with coloured patterns across the front – will be paired with this season’s dark navy away shorts for the trip to the Gtech Community Stadium.
However, with Brentford wearing black socks, we’ll be utilising the Lilywhite socks from our home kit to complete our uniform on Saturday.
This won’t be the first time we’ll have visited Brentford on the opening weekend of a season with somewhat unusual kit colours.
Back in August, 2023, we began the 2023/24 campaign away to the Bees wearing our dark blue away shirts and shorts, again paired with the white home kit socks to avoid a clash. That combination ended up being used a handful of times over the course of that season.
Brentford’s goalkeeper will wear a light pink strip on Saturday, with ours in the second-choice keeper’s kit of dark green with yellow patterns on the jersey.
