Martin Ho reported that Eveliina Summanen will be assessed ahead of our return to Barclays Women’s Super League action on Sunday against Liverpool at Brisbane Road (12pm UK).

The midfielder was one of 13 players to have departed for international duty after our 3-0 win over Birmingham City in the Subway Women’s League Cup last time out.

Having picked up an injury in the first leg of Finland’s UEFA Women’s Nations league against Denmark, Eveliina missed the reverse fixture and returned to Hotspur Way. She has since been part of training but our Head Coach confirmed that the 27-year-old will continued to be monitored to see whether she can feature this weekend.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Saturday, he told the media: “Eveliina came back with a little bit of a fractured rib, if you want to call it that, she has obviously been managed over the short period and she has been part of training.

“She will train today and then we will assess her to see if she can be available for the game tomorrow."

Meanwhile, as previously reported, Maite Oroz suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament in our win over Birmingham City.

Ella Morris and Luana Buhler remain long-term absentees and will not be available for the clash against the Reds.
