Tottenham Hotspur play their final pre-season friendly of the summer as they take on Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Thursday night.

They will do so without Son Heung-min with their former captain having completed his move to LAFC in a MLS record deal worth more than £20million. Spurs will face another former player in the shape of club record goalscorer Harry Kane, who won the Bundesliga last season with the Bavarian giants.

Thomas Frank will also be missing James Maddison for much of this coming season after Tottenham confirmed the midfielder will undergo surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee following a non-contact injury late on in the 1-1 pre-season draw against Newcastle United in Seoul.

Tottenham have their own Bayern player now in Joao Palhinha, who has joined on loan with an option for the north London club to buy the 30-year-old former Fulham midfielder for 30million euros. There is also another former Bayern man returning to Munich on Thursday as Mathys Tel will return hoping to show what his old team has lost.
