Liverpool fans want midfielder Alexis Mac Allister to be among a number of stars who leave the club at the end of the season.

Arne Slot faces increasing sack pressure come the end of the season as Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham dented their Champions League qualification hopes.

Dominik Szoboszlai had put the Reds in front in the first half after Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario failed to keep out his free kick.

However, Richarlison rescued a point for Spurs in the 90th minute to deny Liverpool all three points as Slot’s side failed to close the gap further on fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Alexis Mac Allister’s form has ‘fallen off a cliff’ this season

Like many Liverpool stars this campaign, Mac Allister has failed to continue his fine form from last season’s Premier League title winning campaign.

The 27-year-old struggled in the middle of the park against Spurs, which fans pointed out after the match, with the midfielder winning just two of his 17 ground duels.

One supporter said that the Argentine must be “the first one offloaded in the summer,” after calling him “the weakest player in the squad.”

Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson are among the players who are most likely to leave the club in the summer.

Mac Allister has been at Anfield since moving from Brighton in 2023, making over 130 appearances for the Reds.

Liverpool looking to reunite with Jarell Quansah

Sources have told Football Insider that Liverpool will target a new centre-back in the summer transfer window, with Joe Gomez attracting attention from clubs and with Konate’s contract expiring at the end of the season.

Giovanni Leoni is also currently out with an ACL injury, and it remains unclear when the 19-year-old will return to action.

Former Liverpool centre-back Jarell Quansah, now at Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, has been linked with a return to Anfield.

The 23-year-old could be open to returning to the club which he first joined aged five, coming through their academy and making 58 senior appearances.

Champions League qualification though is set to determine their transfer plans, with Liverpool currently sitting in fifth-place, just a point above Chelsea.
