Liverpool could help Tottenham sign Marc Guehi
One of the players Tottenham have long targeted is Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi.
Spurs even made a £70m bid for Guehi in January. However, the bid was turned down at that time, and the player decided to stay at the club until the end of the season.
The England defender’s current contract with Palace expires in the summer of 2026, and Guehi is refusing to sign a new deal with the club. It has been reported that Palace will be willing to sell Guehi for £40m.
According to TBR Football, Palace are interested in signing Joe Gomez from Liverpool this summer, and the Reds will not stand in the player’s way if he wants to move to Selhurst Park.
If Palace can sign Gomez, it will pave the way for Guehi to move to potentially move to the North London club.
Marc Guehi could be a fitting successor to Cristian Romero
Romer has been linked with a move away this summer, with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone keen on signing him.

Guehi brings valuable leadership qualities and a strong sense of organisation at the back, making him a natural fit to replace Romero, who has long been the vocal leader in Tottenham’s defence.
Beyond his leadership, Guehi offers Premier League experience and reliability that Spurs will need if they have to fill the void that will be left by the departure of an experienced player like Romero.
