Luana Buhler has been called up by Switzerland as they prepare to host the UEFA Euro 2025 Finals next month.

The showpiece tournament, marking its 14th edition, will be hosted in Switzerland for the first time, and the 29-year-old is preparing to feature in head coach Pia Sundhage’s squad on home soil.

Despite missing the final month of the Barclays Women’s Super League campaign last term due to an injury, the defender has worked hard to earn her spot in what will be her third major international tournament for her nation – having been involved in 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and 2022 Euros.

The host nation will get their preparations underway with a warm-up friendly with Czech Republic on Thursday 26 June before kicking off their campaign on Wednesday 2 July against Norway at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.

They will then face Iceland on Sunday 6 July at Wankdorf Stadium in Bern before rounding off the group phase with a clash against Finland on Thursday 10 July at Stade de Geneve in Geneva.

Ahead of the tournament, Luana has international 60 caps to date, scoring three times.
