Martin Ho will be without Maika Hamano for Monday’s Women’s FA Cup quarter-final tie to Chelsea but doesn’t expect any further changes in squad availability in terms of fitness.
The Japan international is ineligible to face her parent club, Chelsea, as part of her loan agreement.
But, apart from that, our Head Coach will have the same squad that faced Arsenal in Women’s Super League last time out in contention for our trip to Kingsmeadow in the last eight of the competition.
That includes defender Ella Morris who was available for selection last weekend, but Martin confirmed she didn’t make the substitutes bench due to having a full squad to choose from.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon, he told the media: “Everyone was available for the last one, too (matchday squad), it was more just the squad. You can only pick 20 players in your squad, and I just picked the squad of 20 that felt right for the game and for what we might use in that moment. I was also taking into consideration all the other aspects around training and so on.
"Unfortunately, I have to pick a squad of 20, which is not easy because I have a wonderful group of players, but yeah, everyone is available for selection going into this game, apart from Maika Hamano, who obviously can’t contribute to this game."
Meanwhile, Jess Naz, Maite Oroz, Luana Buhler and Clare Hunt remain long-term absentees and remain sidelined.
